Woman with cerebral palsy was the winner of the championship of Russia on sports orientation


At the national Championships in trail orienteering (orienteering for people with disabilities) 16-year-old Victoria Solanco from St. Petersburg won two bronze medals.

From 10 to 14 may 2018, was held in Pskov at the Russian championship in trail orienteering individuals with lesions of the musculoskeletal system. The purpose of trailo in contrast to the classical orienteering’t go the unknown route for the shortest time period, and find a certain control time, some of the prisms (flags) on the ground correspond to the legend. Movement speed is not taken into account to exclude the possibility of the victory of the participants through the use of technologically advanced vehicles, for example, electro – or sidecars, prostheses, etc.

The event was attended by over 70 athletes from 12 regions of Russia, among whom were six of Petersburgers. 16-year-old Victoria Solanco won two bronze medals at distances of “precision targeting” and “sprint”, and also confirmed the title of Master of sports.
