On the eve of Victory Day – 25 April 2018 at the Museum of Victory on Poklonnaya hill held a Ceremony of awarding the winners of the national award “Thank you little hero”, organized by the charitable Foundation Oksana Fedorova “Hurry to do good!” with the support of the Russian movement of schoolchildren and the use of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation on development of civil society provided by the presidential grants!

The contest was held from 26 February to 15 April 2018 in the framework of the historical-Patriotic project “Small heroes of the great war”, dedicated to the heroism of children during the great Patriotic.. More than 2000 applications: pictures, videos, music, journalistic and literary works from all over Russia were sent to the organizing Committee.
32 creative work was declared best in 5 categories according to the results of the evaluation by the Jury, composed of: Oksana Fedorov, Arkady V. Nikonorov, veteran, doctor of historical Sciences, the author-compiler of the book-of the trilogy “Little heroes of the great war”, composer Grigory Gladkov, the actress Yana Poplavskaya, Director, Russian state children’s library Maria I., Elena Aksenova, head of the Supervisory Board of the Interregional public organization “Russian unity” (Republic of Crimea), Tatiana Lazarevska, Director of “Your nature”, Angela Lebedeva, Executive Director of the Association “raising a reader”, the composer and singer mark Tishman, the Opera singer, the President of Fund of support of national culture. Tchaikovsky Dmitry Galikhin, head of the Resource center “Mosvolonter” Irina Shvets and Alexander Cousin, a member of the Union of artists of the USSR, laureate of the TEFI award, artistic Director of the opening ceremonies and closing of the Olympic Games of 1980 in Moscow.
As part of the Ceremony of awarding the winners, President of the Fund “Hasten to do good!” Oksana Fedorova said: “Today the theme of patriotism is very important, because it is love of country unites us and creates the basis for national unity. The diversity of entries and the keen interest of students to the theme of forgotten children’s names-characters talking about the fact that such projects are extremely important and need to better know the history of their country and brought up the examples of true heroism.”

As part of the Ceremony of awarding the winners of the competition also hosted the launch of the all-Russian action of planting Alleys of memory of children-the heroes of the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945: more than 100 schools have joined the campaign, and their territory will decorate themed Alleys with a commemorative plaque. The alley will become a living symbol of respect and admiration the younger generations before the eternal heroism of the soldiers of victory!

About the project “Small heroes of the great war”
The project “Small heroes of the great war” launched the charitable Foundation “Hurry to do good!” in 2015, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the great Victory. The project has given the issue of the first volume of the book-of the trilogy in 2016, came out of the 2nd and 3rd volumes, and March 23, 2017 in the hall of columns gala concert-presentation with the participation of the creative team behind the books, veterans, public organizations, music, children’s groups, cadet corps.
The book trilogy, “Little heroes of the great war” is a collection of stories about the mass participation in the great Patriotic war children under the age of 16 years old who voluntarily came to the defense of their homeland. The author Arkady Nikonorov, doctor of historical Sciences, honored worker of culture, member of the Union of writers of Russia, Colonel, gathered historically proven facts about the exploits of 400 children from different parts of our country. The book trilogy, “Little heroes of the great war” posted on the website http://detigeroi.ru/ and is available for download and placement on the websites of the schools and libraries of the Russian Federation.
