Moscow, 27 April 2018 – In honor of the 22nd annual Day of social partnership, with almost 400 employees of “Novartis” in Russia joined colleagues from around the world to help those who desperately need help and care. Overall, more than 23 900 employees of “Novartis” in 6 continents, in 58 countries in the world support a local nonprofit organization, devoting more than 191 200 hours participation in charity events within the corporate responsibility of the company. “Day of social partnership symbolizes the culture of volunteering Novartis and is one of the most important elements of corporate responsibility of our company. 2018 was announced in Uzbekistan as the year of the volunteer, and I am particularly pleased that the employees of “Novartis” from 35 cities of Russia have shared this aspiration and found the opportunity to Express their sole responsibility to the society in which we live and work, helping people and embodying the principles of the company’s Obligations to patients,” — says Ekaterina Odintsova, Director of corporate communications of group of companies “Novartis”.
In Russia employees work in three areas: care for older people, assistance to children and blood donation. Volunteers from Novartis took part in the organization of children’s parties and workshops for young patients undergoing treatment in major hospitals, the work in orphanages and veterans homes, the landscaping treatment centers and hospice and many other activities.
