The state Duma adopted in the third final reading the bill that frees the volunteers from paying taxes on income related to charitable activities, and also received in kind – in the hiring of residential premises, the organization of travel, cost of food, the purchase of equipment.

“The bill also clarifies the exemption from taxation on incomes of physical persons incomes of volunteers (volunteers), ensuring equal conditions of taxation of income, as in the case of the receipt of such income in the form of reimbursement of incurred costs in the relevant activities, and in the case of receiving such in-kind revenues”, – stated in the explanatory note to the document.

In addition, the act excluded from the tax base grants of the President of Russia to any destination.

Previously, we reported that Russia will introduce a unified standard for the development of volunteering (volunteering). In 2017, about 40 regions of the country will be the base for the introduction of the regional standard, in 2018 it will be introduced in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The standard includes measures to overcome organizational, legal, informational, methodological, infrastructural barriers, and various obstacles for promoting and funding volunteerism.

We will remind, in April 2017 DISLIFE launched the first Russian web service to provide volunteer assistance to people with disabilities “Volunteer DISLIFE”. Now the person that needs help can post on the portal DISLIFE request in one direction:

  • To deliver food or medicines;
  • To help in leaving the house;
  • To take/give on the car;
  • Delivery of products or medicines;
  • Go for a walk;
  • More.

Registered in the system, the volunteer can respond to the request and execute it.

Due to service “Volunteer DISLIFE” thousands of people with disabilities will be able to get vital assistance and support, and with them faith in themselves and in their abilities. Each person who will become a volunteer of this service, make one step towards acceptance of people with disabilities.
