Disabled people will receive benefits when applying to universities for professional success

The Minister of education and science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva signed the order about modification in the Order of reception on training on educational programs of higher education. Under this order, for winning in competitions of professional skill, people with disabilities will receive additional points in the admission admission.

The document stated that the changes made in paragraph 44 of the Order of admission for training on educational programs of higher education – bachelor, specialist and master degrees, approved by the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation from October 14, 2015 No. 1147.

“Add subparagraph 7 as follows: “the presence coming from among the disabled status of the winner of national or international competition (or other events of a competitive nature) professional skills””, – said in the order.

In the explanatory note to the document notes that the draft order is developed following the meeting of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with persons with disabilities and representatives of public organizations and professional communities, assisting with disabilities, which took place on 5 December 2017.

Previously, we reported that the state Duma passed a bill to facilitate entry of people with disabilities in schools and the preparatory departments. Now when applying do not need to submit a report from the ITU about the absence of contraindications to training, will be quite normal medical certificate.

We also wrote about that in his official opinion, the Cabinet approved the bill which proposes to people with disabilities and children with disabilities should have the right to apply for a preferential quota from five universities. The draft law also stated that each of the universities the applicant-a disabled person is entitled to participate in the competition in three specialties and areas of training.
