March 12, in Izhevsk will be held the seminar, which will unite the efforts of local authorities, public organizations and civil society for restructuring the network of institutions for children-orphans. Seminar organized by the Fund “Volunteers in aid to children-orphans” in the framework of the project “On the side of the child: supporting the reform of institutions for children-orphans and children left without parental care”.
His goal is to develop a concrete plan of action for monitoring the implementation of the Government Decision No. 481 of the Republic of Udmurtia, as well as for training and methodological support organizations for children-orphans in the process of reorganization.
The workshop will bring together representatives of local authorities, Directors and employees of the institutions for children-orphans and children left without parental care, representatives of regional socially oriented NGOs.
Including, the acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Udmurt Republic Anastasia Matulenkoauthorized by the head of the Udmurt Republic on the rights of the child Olga Avdeev, Minister of labour and social policy of the Udmurt Republic Tatiana Churakova, the Minister of education and science of the Republic of Udmurtia Svetlana Bolotnikova, Minister of health of the Udmurt Republic Igor Titov.
The aims and objectives of the resolution No. 481 and the situation with its implementation in Russia in General, and on public monitoring will tell the Fund Manager Elena Alshanskaya.
In the large-scale project, which during the year will be implemented in the Udmurt Republic, the staff of children’s homes to gain the skills necessary to ensure successful child development, increase competence in the prevention of social orphanhood and family unit. And along with the NGOs will work on the evaluation criteria and to monitor changes and make them sustainable.
The seminar will be held March 12 from 10:00 to 17:00 in the auditorium of the Ministry of labour and social policy of the Udmurt Republic (4th floor) at the address: Izhevsk, street of Lomonosov, d. 5.
The Fund “Volunteers in aid to children-orphans” was one of the initiators of the reform of children’s homes, which runs from 2015 to the whole of Russia (resolution of the Government No. 481). Objectives of the reform is to bring the living conditions in orphanages to family, to ensure the socialization of children outside of the orphanage, and most importantly — to make staying there temporary to the child as soon as possible returned to the blood family or have a job in reception.
The project is being implemented through a grant of the President of the Russian Federation on development of civil society provided by the presidential grants.
