Center Blagosfera and the draft International Memorial “This right here” invite to the lecture “point on the map of repression: the Running areas and the Airport” on March 6 from 19:00 to 21:30
Vicinity of the metro station Dinamo and Airport of the Soviet era is generally described as a privileged place: there was the famous house of the cooperative “Soviet writer”, the house of filmmakers and artists camp. In addition to the official well-being, however, the facades of the buildings hide the front and less history.
Many residents of writers ‘ houses have gone through the GULAG, like the philologist Leonid Pinsky and famous dissident Lev Kopelev.Lived there
Alexander Galich and Vladimir Voinovich, who sacrificed successfully forged a career for the opportunity to speak the truth about the regime. At the stadium “Dynamo” often went Varlam Shalamov – a passionate football fan.
Even earlier, after the war, there was opened the camp, which prisoners built factories, Khoroshevskoe and Leningrad highway, residential building. Now this layer of the history of the city went to the area of the city of rumors, camp episodes erased from the history of the enterprises where prisoners worked. Immediately after the revolution and the Declaration of the red terror in Petrovsky Park held a demonstration shooting of hostages. A Restructuring of the neighborhood, near the stadium “Dinamo”, in 1988 hosted the first rally of memory of victims of political repression.
The project of the International Memorial “This right here” recovers a memory about the relationship of man and the Soviet state in urban space.
