More than 600 volunteers are being sought to work at the Dublin 2018 World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships which are being held at the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown next August from Monday 13th to Sunday 19th.
A broad range of volunteers will be needed to ensure that the Championships run smoothly and will be remembered as an event that we can all be proud of. There are nine volunteer areas that individuals can register to work within. Those volunteer teams are: Accreditation Team, Anti-Doping Team, Event Operations Team, Media Services Team, Medical Services Team, Athlete Services Team, Sport/Competition Team, Transport Services Team and Venue Operations Team.
The Para Swimming Allianz European Championships will welcome over 500 athletes, representing more than 40 nations, to Dublin to compete over 7 days of intense competition. There will be two sessions per day comprising more than 500 races with over 170 finals. Over 500 medals will be presented in more than 14 hours of medal presentation ceremonies.
“This is a huge logistical undertaking and we will need supporters of Paralympic sport, swimming and sport in general to help us to make this a genuinely world class sporting occasion that we can be truly proud of.”
